After moisturizer, apply generously and evenly to your face and neck 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply at least every two hours. Use a water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating.

Banana Bright Mineral SPF is a physical sunscreen that contains 16.3% zinc oxide. Physical sunscreens (also called mineral sunscreens) use mineral-based ingredients to instantly reflect and scatter harmful UV rays, acting like a shield for your skin. The future of sunscreen is mineral!

Why did we choose a mineral sunscreen?
When it comes to SPF, Ole prefers a physical formula over a chemical one. While chemical sunscreens are absorbed into skin, physical sunscreens are made with minerals—including zinc oxide—that sit on skin’s surface and create a physical barrier to instantly reflect UVA and UVB rays. Physical sunscreens are also known to be better for the environment.

Does this sunscreen leave a white cast?
Mineral sunscreen takes longer to absorb into skin vs. chemical sunscreen. Due to the high percentage of zinc in our formulation (16.3%), depending on your skin tone, you may see a white cast that could fade over time. To help offset this mineral cast, we added in our iconic light-reflecting mineral pigments.
